Michelle's Birthday Portraits

Michelle was a treat to photograph—she was very easy to direct, understood how to communicate what worked for her, and was confident throughout the session. I remember that during our consultation, I didn't realize who I was speaking to until about 20 minutes into the conversation. That created a moment, and from then on, it was full steam ahead into planning her shoot and putting her vision together. We discussed the natural element she wanted her session to have, and that resonated with me. Crystal was also on set to help out. The whole time, we talked about life and really connected on our creativity and how much we value genuine connections with people. This shoot happened the day after Tems' album "Born in the Wild" was released, and that was the soundtrack for the entire session. This is easily one of my favorite photo sessions in some time, which is great because I recently expressed how I wanted to work with people who were open to connecting with me.
